Product Overview:
Eye shadow is one of those products you can't help but buy. I can have 20 of the same color eye shadow but I always need 1 more in a different formula and brand. That's how I felt about this palette. I have all the type of shades throughout my collection and none of them are particularly unique. The only one the stands out is the 'POPPER' shade. Now you probably ask "Do I need this and why?" Unfortunately I can't answer the first question but the second one I can definitely help with! The shadows are very pigmented and very smooth. I find that when I put them on my eyes its takes very little blending to get the look I'm going for. The matte shades are what really shines in this palette. I find that they are very basic shades that go with any look. The bottom row of shimmers are good and blendable but nothing outstanding. The mattes overshadow the shimmers (pun intended). Overall a good palette. One of the problems is that it's a limited edition palette. However, if you miss the chance to get this you can definitely dupe the matte shades in the regular eye shadow line of the brand.
Individual Eye Shadow Review:
Vanilla: This is a matte cream shadow. I find it to be a great brow bone highlight when applied lightly and an all over lid shadow when applied heavily. This shade is very buildable.
Winter Brown: This is a matte netural taupe brown shadow. I find it to be a great base color for any look. I always put this in the crease first and my look comes together quite easily after that.
Cinnamon: This is a matte rusty brown shadow. This is one of my favorite shadows in the palette. It gives any look a nice warmth. If you have brown or green eyes it really brings out the color. An eye shadow that gives a similar effect would be Makeup Geek's Coco Bear.
Lace Noir: This is a very pigmented matte black shadow. I've never appreciated a black eye shadow until I used this one. This is one of the most blendable black I have ever used. I love using it to do a soft wing on my lash line. The best part is that this black is part of their permanent line.
Enigma: This is a hot copper metallic eye shadow. This is my favorite of the shimmers in the palette. This color is great for all eye colors. It really pops on the eyes!
Elecro: This is a green gold metallic eye shadow. This is one of the most unique shades out of all the palette. This shade is great for a fun pop that still looks neutral.
Popper: This is a bright blue semi matte shadow . This shadow was the only disappointing shade in the whole palette (in my opinion, of course). I found it to be less pigmented than the rest and slightly patchy. In the swatch above you can see the patchiness.
Nova: This is a satin purple eye shadow that has a brown under tone. This a really good neutral purple that will be very flattering on most eye colors. It can be used as a one shadow eye look (worn without any other eye shadow). This also blends great like the rest of the palette.
